The International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Local 580 represents the men and women who install glass curtain wall facades, metal panels, highly crafted decorative stairs and ornamental railings throughout the five boroughs of New York City.  And when an out-of-control taxi jumped the curb and crashed through their 42nd Street headquarters entrance, that's exactly the work they needed done.  BORO Architects completely redesigned this prominently-located corner entrance with new facades on 42nd Street and 10th Avenue and a new entrance lobby and stair.  The materials were chosen to highlight the skills of the Union's members: curtain wall facades, steel treads, risers and railings, metal panels inside and out, and delicate cable railings.
