LOCATION:  South Street Seaport Historic District, Manhattan
TYPE: New Residential Condominium Apartments

This new condominium building is under construction on a through-block site near the Brooklyn Bridge.  The difficult site is located in the South Street Seaport Historic District and FEMA flood zone.  The Front Street portion of the building is seven stories with a retail store at the first floor. The Water Street frontage is only twelve feet wide and will be occupied by a steel-faced four story townhouse.  The structure is comprised of prefabricated load-bearing light gauge steel wall panels with composite steel and concrete floor structure.  BORO Architects provided the architectural design and permit expediting services for all Department of Buildings and Landmarks approvals.  The building is slated for completion in summer of 2017.
